Memorial Day is about freedom, and especially those who paid the ultimate price to defend our liberties.
How can we honor them best? By maintaining that liberty here on the home front.
I know water and I know agriculture. I've been a county commissioner, a school board member, and an active member of the community for years. We need the Western Slope voice to speak up for American freedom.
America truly is the land that I love, and I can't allow the Democrats to stand in the way any longer. Will you contribute $5 or $10 to protect our freedom?
Session's out! After spending 4 months fighting for our rights and liberties, I'm back in God's country.
Here on the ranch, I'm reminded again why I will not tolerate higher taxes, overbearing regulation, and unnecessary laws. I believe that people deserve the freedom to use their dollars however they wish rather than relying on inefficient, costly big government regulation that discourages private businesses.
Someone needs to buck up and put in the work to solve issues complicating water storage so that everyone, from the La Plata fields to the Denver high rises, can continue to thrive. A few weeks ago my bill, House Bill 1256, passed the House unanimously.
Having been raised as a rancher here in Colorado, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.
I have and will continue to work hard for our community. Please join me by clicking here as I take on the Democrat this election cycle.
We have had a very exciting end to session. I think one of the most exciting battles we have had was the Presidential Primary Bill.
The Senate version ended up dying. The House version, which I supported, passed and went to Senate where it unfortunately died today.
The bill would have kept our current caucus system. It would have only changed the way we nominate our Presidential candidate. It would have required everyone who wanted to participate in the primary to register with a party.
You can listen to me discuss the bill on 710 KNUS - Kelly and Kafer by clicking here.
Tomorrow, session will be behind us and 100% of my focus will be devoted to defeating the Democrat. Thank you for all of your support and please join me on the next journey of my campaign by contributing here.
Did you participate in the caucus process and exercise your right to be a national delegate for a presidential candidate?
Probably not. Most people don't understand our caucus process. Most people who have been attending caucus for decades don't fully understand our caucus process. It is a convoluted system!
It is time Colorado joins the majority of states in having a Presidential Primary. This would give every registered Republican and Democrat a vote to choose their next presidential candidate. Unaffiliated voters would receive a postcard instructing them to register with a Party if they want to vote in the primary.
I know a lot of hard working Republicans who just don't have time to attend their precinct caucus because of their jobs or families. This would give everyone an opportunity to exercise their right to vote in the Presidential Primary.
This would NOT get rid of the caucus system. The process to elect the nominee for the rest of the Colorado elected seats would NOT change.
As always, I am grateful for all of your support. Please help me defeat the Democrat by donating here.
