Quote for the Day

The campaign is going great. Last week we received several major endorsements. We have received a number of good contributions. I attended the Montezuma County Fair and we were in the Durango Fiesta Parade and attended the Chuckwagon Cookoff. We have signs and would appreciate everyone putting one up. The quote of the day is from Thomas Jefferson.

"Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. Do not be too severe upon their errors, but reclaim them by enlightening them. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, Judges, and Governors, shall all become wolves." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Edward Carrington, 1787
